WTC Lunch Concert A’DAM DIVISO trio Soprano, Viola, Piano

“Shades of Voices”
This WTC Lunch Concert features a very unusual and romantic ensemble formation, a trio comprised by Soprano, Viola and Piano. This unique combination is most renowned because of the Two Songs Op.91 by Johannes Brahms. The timbre of the viola adds an intriguing color to the soprano voice: while blending into it beautifully, giving also an interesting contrast to it. This unusual instrument combination and color inspired around 190O other composers as well. The concert program will include trio’s from Loeffler, Panseron and some folk songs by Granados and Bartók.
